The American empire is over
Nordstream sabotage, the death of Atlanticism, and Eurasian integration
The neocon neoliberal globalist elites in the Beltway and finance capitalists and media elites in New York (or, what Ray McGovern calls the MICIMATT - the military industrial Congressional intelligence media academia think tank complex) are pushing the world to the brink of World War III with their craven greed, raw stupidity, and utter callousness. The irony is that while they occupy the most commanding and prestigious heights of the economy and politics they are the ones responsible for deindustrializing America - except perhaps for cars, planes, and weapons.
America has little left to export now except financial products and what the film and novel “A Clockwork Orange” called ultraviolence. This is a sign of weakness not strength. Those elites, who are dumber than a sack of hammers, can’t tell that America's brief moment of unipolar primacy in the 1990s and early years of this century is over. American is a deindustrialized country with a massive debt that will never be repaid and has ultraviolence as its chief export. It is no longer attractive as a world leader to anyone outside of Europe, which is busy committing ritual seppuku at the behest of its feudal lord. In fairness, it also still holds sway over the G7, the Five Eyes signal intelligence countries, and South Korea.
The decisions have been made. The countries have chosen their new sides. The contours of the new multipolar world are obvious. They are who will replace an imploding America and its vassal states in Europe. It is being led by the Russia-China dyad as the main nucleus. The BRICS (who are entertaining the applications of 10 new countries including Argentina, Iran, and Saudi Arabia), Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and Eurasian Economic Union are the next ring outward. The 152 Belt and Road Initiative countries are the next ring still further outward (which include several European countries, the only ones likely to survive the slow motion collapse of Europe).
America has been a gangster state since the end of World War II with over 60 wars, invasions, and major covert operations killing untold millions throughout the world. Seymour Hersh's new revelations proving America's culpability in blowing up the Nordstrom pipeline mark a dramatic escalation of that gangster reputation, in part because the greatest incident of industrial sabotage in history was done to one of its closest allies, deindustrializing an industrial export powerhouse and the economic engine of Europe. An ally, it should be mentioned that still hosts tens of thousands of American troops.
The prime geopolitical objective of this terrorist act was to end energy collaboration as a means of preventing a broader Eurasian integration that would have included Germany while simultaneously attempting to preserve the collapsing Atlanticist project, of which NATO is just a part. Of course, after the sabotage, American LNG exports to Europe skyrocketed and were sold at extravagant markups but the overarching and highly deluded goal was to prevent Eurasian integration which would have put Russia and China in pole position for the formation of a new multipolar world.
As spectacular an act of terrorism as the demolition of three of four of the Nordstream pipelines were, history will look back on it as something akin to what the Suez Canal Crisis was for the British Empire: its coda. The structural realignment of the rest of the world besides America, Europe, G7, the Five Eyes signal intelligence consortium countries, and South Korea is over. That bloc has lost, unless some of them peel off to the join the inevitable new multipolar world.
As the geopolitical geographer Halford MacKinder said in a thesis of world historical importance: whoever controls Eurasia controls the world. By that iconic standard that means Russia and the regional organization it leads (the Eurasian Economic Union composed of Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kygyzstan) and China and the regional organization it leads (the Shanghai Cooperation Organization composed of China, Belarus, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Pakistan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan) are poised to control the world – and a lot sooner than most people think. Certainly much sooner than those in the Beltway Bubble think who, as aforementioned, are dumber than a sack of hammers.
Russia has abundant energy, commodities, and food production; concrete things people actually need (and the world’s largest nuclear arsenal). China’s “Made in China 2025” industrial policies aspire to world dominance in a slew of cutting edge technologies and they are spending trillions of dollars on mutually beneficial infrastructure in dozens of countries worldwide. All America does anymore is kill people and break things.
The verdict is in. The American empire, like every empire before it, is over.
